Community Overdose Action Team Goal

Reducing the number of overdoses and overdose deaths in Montgomery County is the primary goal of the Community Overdose Action Team (COAT).

Food Equity Coalition Goal

Food insecurity is the disruption of food intake or eating patterns because of lack of money or other resources (Food Access Research Atlas, USDA).

According to Healthy People 2030, a national framework for improving the health and well-being across the lifespan, the target for reducing household food insecurity and children experiencing hunger is 6.0% and 0%, respectively.  

Electronic Home Detention Program Savings

Advantages of the Electronic Home Detention Program (EHDP) include cost-effectiveness, flexibility, and its potential for use at any stage of the criminal justice process. It contributes to better outcomes for the community and the detainee. 

RCAA Program Success Rate

The Montgomery County Office of Reentry serves the community with programs and services that minimize barriers to effective reentry while promoting public safety through the restoration of returning citizens. The post program success rate of the Reentry Career Alliance Academy (RCAA) indicates the percentage of graduates who have not returned to prison. 

Eichelberger Success

The Eichelberger Foundation awarded funding to the Office of Reentry to expand services within prison. A Community and Resource Engagement (CaRE) plan is created for each returning citizen that is interested. In-reach at Ohio prisons is important in engaging those returning to the community before they leave incarceration.

Evaluating and tracking the percentage of people who were engaged through the Eichelberger Grant shows that the in-reach is resulting in participation and graduation from the Reentry Career Alliance Academy (RCAA). 

Board of Developmental Disabilities Services Impact

The Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services (MCBDDS) seeks to have residents in community housing or staying in their own home instead of in institutions. MCBDDS seeks to provide funding that allows residents to stay in their own home for as long as possible. Funding such as Individual Options Waivers allows people to stay in a community setting.

Seniors Staying at Home

Survey respondents state that they strongly agree they are able to stay in their homes due to Senior & Aging Services. This exemplifies the overall positive impact that the organization has on seniors being served.

Stillwater Center Quality

Stillwater Center is a home for children and adults in Montgomery County that have severe and profound intellectual disabilities, are physically challenged, and/or have significant medical needs. Stillwater Center also provides other related support services to eligible families and individuals. 

Reducing Homelessness

A key indicator of the extent of homelessness or lack of housing stability in a community is an annual count of the number of households who, as the result of having no other safe place to sleep, spend at least one night in an emergency gateway shelter or were unsheltered, residing on the street or in an abandoned building. Households include single adults, families with children, couples without children, and unaccompanied minors.
